 Oeh tijd voor een heel oude rubriek op deze blog. Ik begin er precies terug in te komen. Of ligt dat nu aan mij? 

Jengi is een Nederlandse DJ die booty bass remixes maakt van uiteenlopende dingen. Deze is een pareltje. Komt van zijn Berlin Trauma ep. Momenteel nog niks van op vinyl. Ik kan het weten, want ik heb het hem gevraagd :) Ik heb die plaat voor de eerste keer gehoord in de Boiler Room set die Faisal b2b speelde met Eagl.

Ik had ze gehoord tijdens de afterparty van StuHa. Dj Tall smeet ze er ergens tussen, maar ik wist niet van wie ze was. Via Nadiem Shah bij Bregt uitgekomen en zo de naam van plaat gescoord. Connecties :)

Bangers

Ik luister nogal graag naar muziek. Ik vind dat leuk. En om een of andere reden reageer ik op verscheidene types van muziek op zeer uiteenlopende manieren. Soms vind ik een plaat zo goed, zo GOED, dat ik ze in het begin niet in een keer kan luisteren of het begint in mijn hoofd pijn te doen. Ik had dat met'Mars' van Fake Blood (die break is te beer), met 'Knobbers' van Crookers, met 'Like a Pen' van The Knife (I hold my breath and I count to three-e -e eeee,...) en nu met 'Chrome Knight' van Surkin (er zit daar een synth in die me doet denken aan Mandy's remix van Rockers Hifi. Ge weetwel: pushpush, pushpush,...?) Klinkt erg vreemd, zegt u. Dat is het ook.
Soit.
Dit soort van platen, daar bestaat een naam voor: Bangers. Ik heb dat niet uitgevonden, dat hebben ze voor mij gedaan. Hierbij, net voor de verjaardag, een nieuwe rubriek: bangers. Omdat het nodig is.

Eerste BANGer: Surkin - Chrome Knight / White Knight two Ft. Chromeo (sorry voor de kak kwaliteit, ben bezig aan iets om muziek rechstreeks op de blog te krijgen.)


Ben nogaltijd een House-fan. Ik kan er niks aan doen. :)
