Bluetooth stickers!


Bluetooth stickers locate lost items. ‘StinkNFind’ stickers are low energy Bluetooth devices which can stay on for up to a year, allowing users to track them via a smartphone app. The technology doesn’t allow items to be placed on a map like a GPS, instead offering an approximate distance from the phone. To find an item, users need to walk in a random direction until they see the item getting closer. An alternative feature allows users to set an alarm to go off when the sticker moves a certain distance away from the smartphone. That could alert parents if a child ran away from a playground, for example, or to remind you you’ve forgotten your keys when leaving for work. One smartphone can be paired with up to 20 stickers, which are about the size of a US quarter.
